RE: Cruiser 5ver

Don't have a Cruiser but my local dealer seems to move them well. On the forums I visit don't hear to many negatives about them. I went in a couple at the RV Show and they seem to be nice nothing fancy but a nice camper.

RE: Cedar Creek vs Carriage

When I went to the RV Show went in a Carraige Cameo and a Cedar Creek and to me they are both nice and comparable. Now the Carri-Lite looks to be stepup from the Cedar Creek but not much difference than the Cedar Creek Daydreamer. Well that's what I seen by looking at them.

RE: Considering Coachmen Chaparral

My advice is to look at as many different brands as possible. You may find one you like better :)

RE: Hauling a 50cc Scooter

here is the one I use - works fine: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MOTORCYCLE-DIRTBIKE-HAULER-SCOOTER-CARRIER-RAMP_W0QQitemZ200221549474QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item200221549474& for my 49cc MZ moskito Be sure you get one that is wide enough for the width of your scooter tires. I wound up with one that was too narrow and had to sell on craiglist.com. :( Bought a Versa haul 50cc Scooter carrier with Cargo Rack last week. And bought scooter today. Will be bringing 5th wheel May 19th to Trailers and Hitches to get a heavy duty receiver hitch installed.

RE: Screen door, plexi glass insets

I just measured my door. went to the local hardware, and had it cut. It is in 3 pieces, held on with mirror hangers. I can remove 1 pannel or all pannels for air in the mountains, and easily put them back on for AC. Did the same except I went to a local glass company and they did a good job!!

RE: excel fiver

Peterson Industries has almost no quality control. They have very poor industrial design, including but not limited to, weak frames, inadequate suspension capacities and slide-out actuating mechanisms. They have ethically challenged dealers(with NO factory oversight)and their units use a lot of "fluff" to impress unknowledgeable buyers. Don't, at this particular stage of the RV game, know what to recommend but it's definitely not Excel! Please do not, as we did, depend on unqualified or self-serving "EXPERTS" for the information you need before making such a major purchase. We have had ours over three years and are still fixing original problems(between bouts of illness). Oh, did I mention the warranty SUCKS? Good Luck - If you buy an Excel you will need it! Maybe you got a lemon. Most people I know that own Excels are happy.

RE: DirecTV or Dish network

Have been with Dish Network for 6 yrs. Happy with them and the only time I have trouble locking both 110 and 119 is when around a bunch of trees.

RE: excel fiver

Excels are nice.... Have been in several at RV shows and I really like the workmanship. But they are heavy trailers and pricey on the Limited Edition.Any one looking to buy one don't think they will be disapponited with the quality.

RE: GAS Prices!!! I sold my rig, my F-250 is next

Things will have to get bad, bad, bad for us to quit RVing we love it to much. Will just stay closer to home. We have a nice SP 30 miles from home. If that's the only place I can afford to camping it's ok with me.

RE: Teton vs. Escalade

well I went to the Wichita Rv Show back in Jan. and went take a look at both. If I had to choose I would take the Teton that is a really nice Rig.The woodwork was very nice almost felt like a home not a camper.

RE: How Long Do You Keep your Unit

My 1st was a used 1995 27' Sandpiper TT kept it 6 months and it got totaled by Insurance company from a Hail Storm. My 2nd was a 2003 Cardinal 33RLB TT kept it 25 months traded it in on a 2005 Cardinal 35CKT FW.Been having it for 43 months and plan on keeping it for a while.I like the floorplan ( which has been discontinued) it has had very few issuses to deal with and we just like it so we see no need to get in a hurry for a new one.

RE: New air hitch

Just bought a Air Safe 25k. I emailed lots of Air Safe owners and did not get one negative reply. The Trailer Saver seems like a good quality hitch what turned me away was having to buy spacers if it was not the correct height you needed. And I also like the 4 Firestone Airbags that comes with the Air Safe.I have a set of Firestone Ride-Rite Airbags on my truck and they have been great. Been 3 yrs. and no leaks good quality. Trailer Saver I think have goodyear air bags. But it's your decision to make go with the one that best fits your needs and setup.Good luck which ever one you decide to go with.

RE: Help! Cameo Owners

The Cameo is nice but also heavy Go with a 350,450 or 550 dually you will not regret it.I wish I had a dually but my 250 is paid for.And I don't want a truck note right now.
